10 SPD PGP pregnancy tips to get you through
If you are reading this post then you are probably desperate for some answers or SPD PGP pregnancy tips. I had SPD (symphysis pubis dysfunction) or PGP (pelvic girdle pain) when I was pregnant with both of my boys, I won’t sugar coat it for you, I had it severely and was in a wheelchair by the time I had Dexter as not even crutches could help me. SPD journey During my SPD journey there were small nuggets of relief that I found helped for a while to get me into the next “stage” as it were, you see you take everyday at a time, thinking of being in pain…

Five early pregnancy symptoms that I experienced
Pregnancy is long for me, as with both my pregnancies I knew pretty much immediately that I was pregnant. That’s one long wait whilst cooking a baby! Apart from the obvious little blue line or “1-2 weeks” with both boys I had some other tell tale signs hat I was expecting before a test would show positive. I always wondered just how people “knew” when they fell pregnant because they had “a feeling in their water” as my mom would say. Here is what I experienced Sore boobs Not just sore boobs, it was bloody excruciating. It felt so obvious and like they were literally going to snap off! Going…

BabyBjörn We Air mesh baby carrier review
When I just had Freddie I used a baby carrier just because I could really. I can’t say I found it easier than a pushchair as it took me ages to fiddle with the straps and “plug myself in” as it were rather than just bung him in the pushchair and trot on with the dogs. Now I have a second bubba the juggling act has begun. I could do with a third, sometimes fourth hand. Whilst I love our pushchair sometimes it is necessary to have both my hands free and be able to be more hands on with Freddie whilst I have Dexter, such as the nursery drop…

Newborn & New mum must haves
Dexter is almost 6 months old and so lots of the newborn stage items have been packed away. I was ruthless this time and only kept what I knew made those newborn days a whole lot easier, rather than having everything just in case. Here’s our low down on what we loved.. Snuzpod– we used a one of these bedside sleepers with Freddie and it was fabulous, so naturally I carried this on for Dex as we liked it so much. Being three in one makes it really versatile and it rocks too! It’s so easy to have baby safely so close next to you and it helped so much…

Which Hyperemesis tips NOT to offer Princess Kate
So, the Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant for the third time and suffering with her third bout of Hyperemesis Gravardium (HG). Having been there twice with both pregnancies I do completely empathise with her, it’s horrendous. There are still a few nuggets of wisdom that people like to offer which drive me up the wall when it comes to HG. Mostly by people who have never suffered from it! Here are my top five. “Most people get some morning sickness” Nope. No. NOT EVEN. It’s 24 hours a day, every three minutes and it DRAINS YOUR SOUL. This is NOT morning sickness. It’s constant, debilitating vomiting that’s actually very dangerous…

My *ideal* hospital bag for labour
I’m rearranging my hospital bag for the hundredth time and each time I’m pretty sure I’m losing part of my sanity with each stash. With Freddie I’m sure I packed it once and I was happy..second time round I’m doubting everything and getting stressy over the most mundane things (big pants?) I would be more more chilled I’m sure, if I was packing my “ideal” hospital bag. You know, the one you actually want to take? Without the mattress pads, socks, hair ties, straws, lip balm, nursing bras etc etc Mine would consist of.. Prosecco – no point being dull, get the pre drinks going with a bang and those…
