• My-picture.co.uk framed print review

It’s no secret that I love photography and trying to capture the moment, I always have and I always will. My mini resolution this year was to get more prints up on the wall, so that my most favourite pictures aren’t just on my phone or social media, which I am so guilty of. I was thrilled when I got the chance to work with My-Picture.co.uk and choose some items off their site to work in our home. I just had to go for some framed prints, we have a theme of the photos on our home that will either be a black or white frame, luckily they had this…

  • BabyBjörn We Air mesh baby carrier review

When I just had Freddie I used a baby carrier just because I could really. I can’t say I found it easier than a pushchair as it took me ages to fiddle with the straps and “plug myself in” as it were rather than just bung him in the pushchair and trot on with the dogs. Now I have a second bubba the juggling act has begun. I could do with a third, sometimes fourth hand. Whilst I love our pushchair sometimes it is necessary to have both my hands free and be able to be more hands on with Freddie whilst I have Dexter, such as the nursery drop…

  • Sniffing out a bargain

I have always, always been an avid bargain hunter. There is nothing better than finding something you wanted cheaper than expected – it feels like a real win! I actually didn’t think I could improve on how often I tried to find the ultimate bargain but now I have the boys I am always on the lookout for something for them. Whether it be an item of clothing that takes my eye, a toy they have been after for a while or even decor for their bedrooms, I find it so so satisfying to get the deal. What’s even better is that now with how amazing the internet is you…

  • The BIG night in. Well, kind of..

Today’s the day. Roses, love, cards, P.D.As at the soft play (yes really..ICK!) It’s al a bit OTT isn’t it but there is some part of me that feels I really should love Valentine’s Day. Me and my hubs have never really done he whole Vals day thing, maybe a card here or there or an excuse to tank a midweek bottle of fizz but really it’s not a big thing for us. However, now we have two kids and family routine sets in, I wanted to take advantage of the evening of lurve and have a big night in, tasty food, bubbles, great TV and just time to switch…

  • #Rustlershack

Now Freddie is at nursery there is one constant in our day. He is always hungry. I cannot fill him up! Even at the weekend he is burning off energy and constantly needing a snackette. We have recently started weaning him back onto dairy and surprisingly this seems to have upped his appetite! The most important thing for me is to get him a filling, tasty plate of scram. And quickly. Britmums and Rustlers have challenged me to a burger hack using Rustlers Southern Fried Chicken Burger twin packs. These burgers go from microwave to plate in 90 seconds – great for when you need a speedy meal before the…

  • No bake dairy free pin wheels Baby Led Weaning

Dexter loves pinwheels made from ready roll pastry but today we didn’t have any (and I wasn’t going to faff and make pastry!) We made our own dairy free version using Aldi’s fruit loaf and some banana mashed with peanut butter. You could however use normal bread and top with cheese and ham, tomato and cheese or peanut butter, whatever you have in and your little one may like!

  • Weight watchers and child friendly Fish finger pie – 15sp

Sometimes it’s a nightmare cooking weight watcher friendly and kid friendly food for my boys – 3 and almost 9 months. I need quick, nutritious and tasty food to keep hungry mouths happy! I had seen versions of a fish finger pie with baked beans but we aren’t that fond of them, so I have switched for peas. You could also top with cheese or add a cheese sauce if you amend the points. Ingredients 9 fish fingers fitted perfectly into my foil tray so this could be changed to what you need. You could also make it with Smash or frozen Mashed potato. Boil potatoes and make mash. I…

  • Changing the family car

This is a sponsored post. I have always driven small cars, I have always felt secure in them and I love that I can literally just nip in and out of spaces. It’s super handy for work too as I work in a really rural area and there aren’t always convenient places to park a large car. However, recently I have been using my husbands much larger car for work and to be honest now I have got used to it is SO much better – something I never thought it would say! Just the ease of fitting all baby things in, nursery things, a food shop and even a…

  • Lightening the load in January

Everyone hates January don’t they. We have all over eaten, under excercised and pretty much over spent on the catch up from Christmas and the extra long wait for Payday. I try to find the good in January, new beginnings, the faintest glimmer of lighter nights starting and for me I always try and get my finances in gear. This month I have found a way of brightening up this dreary month by sourcing items from free stuff uk. There are LOADS of freebies that you can sign up for, from free samples to gift sets. Each offer has a “liked” rating so you can see what other people thought…

  • Flower power?!

My dad an sisters are a whizz when it comes to the names of garden flora. With just a description they can reel off the names as if it were an episode of gardeners world. I’m not too shabby at having a guess. But I definitely could swat up, I actually remember learning a few for GCSE science. Wow. That was a time ago! We have quite a few different types of flowers in our garden and have lots of different colours as Freddie loves to look at them and pick our the colours. I love having different species of flowers that bloom at different times too so that we…
