• Our first family trip to Birmingham

This is a collaborative post. Even though we live just about an hour from Birmingham, it’s one of those places that we never really explore even though there are plenty of destination space on our bucket list. I have been itching to take the boys because there is so much for them to see and do outside of our pretty little town. You really are spoilt for choice in Birmingham, a vast array of places to eat, traditional and modern takes on bars, children’s activities and numerous hotels to provide a pit stop for a hard days shopping at the bullring – or maybe even you are travelling a bit…

  • Lavender fields to visit in the UK

You can’t help but notice the colour palette if the UK along side the changing months, the yellow of Rapeseed, pastel delphiniums, Red fields of poppies and right now, July & August, is the time to find out a lavender field. Not just for the blue, violet, pale pink and white tones, but the classical relaxing scent of lavender itself. With the help of some fabulous bloggers, I have put together a mini guide of the best lavender fields in the UK. So please let me know if you have one you love and we haven’t added! Morbrook lavender, Underton – Shropshire I have added this because its right on…

  • Flower confetti fields at Wick, Worcestershire

In 2017 I took the boys and my mom to go and see the flower confetti fields at Wick, near Pershore in Worcestershire. I had never heard of them before, it was just a chance of seeing them on Facebook and a moment of “I have to go!” So we did. Dexter was only weeks old and I really love the photos from that day as the flowers just make the photographs really have a special edge. This is one of the reasons that we went back, a year later, to have some more photos! The fields are open again now (June 21st 2019) for another nine days so here…

  • Our £9.50 Norfolk Sun holiday to Caister-on-Sea

Almost annually we go on a Sun holiday and we love them. We have had such great experiences and been to so many different places and at a fraction of the cost and, it becomes a sort of addiction to go again! Now this isn’t an Ad or a sponsored post this is just because I think giving a Sun holiday a chance is one of the best things you can do, especially if you have kiddies and want a quintessential seaside holiday, which I always do as it reminds me of my childhood. This year we decided to go to Norfolk, it was my families go to holiday of…

  • Top 10 tips for UK beach days with kids

We are off to Cornwall this week and because we have been blessed with glorious weather I want to ensure we spend as much time as we can on the beach. So far I have been massively unprepared and brought a UV tent and a fishing net. Slightly eclectic I know, so I headed to the fountain of knowledge from some other bloggers to complie a list of The best UK beach tips. A sheet, with elasticated corners, is ideal to make a area on the beach to keep sand free. If you pop picnic box/other items in the corner, it’ll make an edge that keeps the sheet clean! KatyKicker Wetsuits…

  • Exotic Zoo Telford

Sometimes you get that used to the things around you, that you miss the gems that are right on your door step – that’s what almost happened to us with the gem of a place Exotic Zoo Telford . We decided to go on a whim, after hearing about it a few times but not really venturing into it much more that. What an error that was, I can safely say it’s a lovely place to goand it isn’t too long to spend their either, short attention spans wont be a problem and you can go in the morning and still have plenty of time to go and have a…

  • A day with Bambo and friends at Kelmarsh hall and Gardens

You may have seen that a few weeks ago we got to try some Bambo Nature nappies for Dexter and we really enjoyed using them supporting their eco-background. They have suited Dex really well and they have proven hit in our family. We were excited to find out that Bambo have released some skin care products such as oils, lotions and creams and we were asked to the launch of these vegan friendly and cruelty free products along with some other lovely bloggers. We headed over to Kelmarsh Hall & Gardens and as soon as we arrived at the beautiful gardens we were able to get involved in some eco-crafts. We made some gorgeous…

  • The difference a bit of sun makes!

Hasn’t it been so lovley the past couple of weeks that we have been able to have some proper sunshine and proper time outside for those long days of play. In the paddling pool, drying off in the sun, back in and repeat. It makes such a difference getting some of that vitamin d and the sunshine rays and I definitely feel much better having spent my whole day outdoors. The boys are much more chilled too, they really only need the simplest of things to have fun outside don’t they. Freddie’s favourite pastime is lifting up bricks and rolling logs to look for any fun critters underneath. Dexter’s is…

  • Enjoying an afternoon tea at Halesowen golf club

Me and my fave gal Twinderelmo  love lusting over delicious, tasty treats and very rarely make a date and do anything about it. However, we ADORE an afternoon tea as it’s a chance to spoil ourselves, over indulge and have a good natter, so when we were invited to Halesowen Golf Club to try their new afternoon tea menu, there really was only one answer! it wasn’t too far a trip for us and it’s quite a pretty one,  The golf club just appears down a lovely wooded lane that is dotted with bluebells, daffodils and of course the beautifully sculpted fairway. I was quite nervous arriving as I have never…
