It’s almost been a year since Freddie’s official CMPA diagnosis and so this Easter was our first dairy free. I was daunted at the prospect really as we spend so much of our time checking labels for hidden milk that I wondered if he would be enjoying much for Easter apart from an extortionate lack lustre egg from a health food shop. Dairy free egg free gooey peanut butter cookies
We have made some indulgent treats for Freddie to enjoy. Buying dairy free goodies from the supermarket can be a bit samey, not to mention expensive, so it’s good to branch out and experiment. Freddie loves helping out in the kitchen and today he picked to make vegan Chocolate cookies. Ingredients Dairy free spread 125g Caster sugar 125g Flour 200g Vanilla extract to your taste (we like a lot!) Baking powder 1tsp We also added some smashed up dairy free chocolate & 50g cocoa powder to make them really chocolatey. Dairy free Oreo ice cream cheesecakes
As Freddie is going dairy free at he moment I am trying to come up with fun ideas for treats that he can have without missing out. We have an abundance of coconut milk so I decided to have an experimental go at some coconut milk based Ice cream.

DIY oatmilk
Freddie has suspected CMPA so we are currently diary free on advice from our doctor. It’s been quite up and down finding a replacement milk that suits him- we have had reactions from soy and almond.
