A helping hand from Bridgewood House Hotel and Canalside farm

What I try and focus on during these tough timescale are the acts of selflessness and kindness that we are seeing everywhere.

Its been so hard to see some of my colleagues and close friends in the most physically and emotionally destroying situations from sore blistered faces, getting ill themselves to staying away from their own families for long chunks of time to provide care to those who need it most whilst trying to keep their loved ones safe. This of course isn’t just in my place of work, but all over and in many different key worker roles.

It is really hard to describe being scared and worried to go to work, but wanting to go because you want to help people, knowing you are at risk but could also put your family at risk, yet you do it anyway. From shop workers, teachers, nurses, doctors, etc etc it’s a massive wedge of people.

I was contacted by Bridgewood House Hotel & Residences and Canalside Farm because they have joined together in a scheme to help those key workers who have perhaps decided to stay away from their families whilst they work in tough conditions, maybe there are travel issues getting home after their shift patterns or even they are helping a family member who is self isolating – by offering flexible packages to stays at their residences with government guideline adhered polices and sanitisation gudielines.

They are based in Stafford and Great Haywood, perfectly accessible within the West Midlands. The rooms are Discounted at £39.13 ex VAT over a 7 night stay for key workers and they are donating hampers to the key workers on arrival of stay. I was gifted a hamper too and they are a lovely little pick me up. From a candle or wax melt to relax with, coffee for those early morning shifts, preserves and honey, chocolates and biscuits, it’s a lovely gesture to relive a small amount of stress at this time.

If you are in this situation now, or heaven forbid, in the future, check out Bridgewood if you need some base accommodation and if you have stayed there please do get in touch and let me know! Thinking of you all.

This item was gifted, however the decision to write this post was my own choice.
