#Ad Tried and tested through the years with Johnson’s baby bedtime

The days are long but the years are short. The years can seem so short in fact, that the bedtime routine we used with Freddie soon happened all over again with Dexter, in a blink of an eye. We used the same routine because it worked and it’s something we both enjoyed.

I like using a product that is hypoallergenic, especially as both boys tend to have unpredictable skin, the Johnsons Bedtime collection is also free from dyes, parabens and sulphates, so no other nasties in there. Another thing I love is a pump dispenser just to make things slightly less messy!

Kiddies bath time itself isn’t usually relaxing – I’m sure most of you will agree with that. More water over the floor than in the tub and shouts of “stop splashing your brother” is a surefire accompaniment. However, for us the act of a bath then bed routine helps set the scene even when the chaotic carnage is ensuing.

We use the Johnsons bedtime wash in a warm bath for a relaxing, bubbly wind down to work away the days dirt (mostly tea time mess for dexter!) it smells heavenly and is the first step to our little routine.

Once the boys are clean and bath fresh we have a little massage with baby oil or lotion, depending on which they fancy. Dexter especially loves his feet relaxed while he has his bed time milk and Freddie loves a back massage. Ok for some isn’t it!!

Freddie then either has a book or put all his Lego figures in order for the next day, it really finishes the day for him. Dexter loves a made up story told to him on his bed.

For me the NaturalCalm essence is so nostalgic, it reminds me of those tiny baby days when we were washing precious bubba skin, now they are a bit bigger but still just as precious.
