A spring update with Vertbaudet

Once spring shows itself I have the urge to update everything or add a new feature somewhere in our home. A small change that just brings a fresh feel. Last year we did this with redecorating to bring some brightness in our home.

This year we have been asked to review some gifted pieces of our choice from vertbaudets new range. I chose a giant floor pillow, outdoor rug and some denim jackets for the boys.

Dexter’s room has been finished for quite a while but it always had something missing, so I knew that when I saw this giant floor cushion it was exactly what the room needed. The mustard colour perfectly complements his room and it’s the perfect item to fill the space in his book nook. When we read of an evening this is the first place Dex goes to settle down, as well as a place for his cuddly toys to snuggle up during the day. We have also been using it for a cushion downstairs as he tends to like to sit on the floor more and relax on his cushion against the sofa – it’s like his own little space. It’s a really good length and Freddie has asked if he can use it to have a sleep over on (in his own room?!) just on the floor! What ever you want kid!

Freddie has wanted a denim jacket for as long as I can remember, however it’s been difficult finding the perfect one as he didn’t want one that was rigid, he wanted little bit of stretch, especially so he can roll his sleeves up because he is very particular about that. This denim jacket came in both sizes one for Dexter and one for Freddie so they can match when they want to if they’re having one of those days. The weather here has turned slightly so he doesn’t really need his thick winter coat – he loves wearing his denim jacket to school and his friends all like to see wearing it to he definitely has an air of cool about him! We enjoyed a warming spring evening with some chips by our local river and the jackets were perfect for keeping the slight chill off.

The buttons are really easy to do up and the stretch means both boys can easily put them on themselves. They also wash beautifully and retain a soft stretch and soft touch – this is really important with two mucky boys where washing the same item over and over again is a daily occurrence!

As soon as there is a shred of sunlight the boys want to play outside and even more so Freddie always want to picnic. I normally just use a woollen blanket but then with the bits of grass sticking to it and it coming back into the the house it’s just an annoyance. I love the idea of this outdoor rug that’s also the lovely cheery yellow colour – it’s washable so any dirt or anything that may get and it comes off easily it’s really durable. The rug is super soft to sit on so we can use it indoors too. It’s going to look so vibrant on the beach and a lovely picnic hair in the summer when we can roll it up and just easily take it away with us.

What things do you do to update yourself when spring arrives?

These items were gifted for and honest review and all imagines and words are my own.
