There is nothing that screams Christmas like a jam packed hamper full of tasty treats and sublime snacks. Whether home made or not they always go down well and it’s a lovely way to really spoil someone whilst providing a functional gift.
I love to find new items to add to any hampers I assemble, just to freshen it up each year and maybe even find a new favourite item for the year ahead. Here are a few items I’ll be adding to my hampers this year.
Edinburgh Preserves The Cheese Wedge
You simply can’t have a hamper without the inclusion of chutney. This wonderful set from buys gift looks the part and each chutney pairs wonderfully with all that festive cheese. The presentation will be a hit too as it really gives it the edge. I love the fig relish but you can also enjoy quince jelly, chutney and oatcakes to suitably accompany your cheese or cold cuts.
Lifeplan Active Rainforest Honey
I love giving people the gift of honey, so nourishing and wholesome but also how hard do those little honeybees work to help sustain our life by helping the ecosystem?! I think it’s a really touching gift. I know how beneficial honey can be from using it in antimicrobial dressings at work and so this rainforest honey really struck a chord as the next level honey. A dollop of this goodness in your morning porridge or even just on toast and you can be suitably comforted from the inside.
Christmas is a time to add a touch of luxury but it’s important to remember to blow everything for the sake of one day. This Onuga herring caviar packs all the taste and sophistication but at a fraction of the price. Perfect for adding some jazz to the Boxing Day Buffet!
Ive never gifted a Pannetone in a hamper before – mainly because I always end up keeping them for us and munching it on Christmas Eve with some mulled wine. This year however I was to spread the gift that is oannetine, I adore it as it’s such a wholesome and fulfilling treat. This Sous Chef Pannetone is simply magnificent within its own presentation box and gift bag, it’s simply beautiful and smells heavenly – the scent of the Malvasia delle Lipari D.O.C. wine is enchanting.
Emily veg crisps
Whilst on the lookout for something different I found these glorious vegan fruit and vegetable snacks. They are full of flavour but really light so perfect for when the over indulging gets a bit too much, but of course you still need to munch away! The kids really adore them too.
I also love to add a tipple, these items from my Festive tipple guide
Sometimes it’s nice just to get things premade up and ready to go and there are lots of luxurious hampers for all sizes and budgets out there, a great way to also get a gift to someone a bit further away that you can just have delivered.
This is from Prestige hampers and I think it’s so misleading in size as you get so much! It’s a perfect range of treats and goodies nestled in a glorious wicker basket. Now my wicker basket obsession is a tale for another day but my word you can’t beat a wicker hamper can you? My favourite items in the hamper were the truffles that were rich and decadent and the sumptuous red wine which didn’t taste cheap (as I have found before in made up hampers) and was really easy drinking. It also came with ground coffee, marmalade, fudge, melt in the mouth oat biscuits, cheese biscuits and popcorn
