Neon LED ice lolly light review with GetGingerSnap

As we have been updating most rooms in the house, the kitchen has been having some finishing touches too, I love wall art and the last thing I had on my list to add was a neon wall sign of some sort. Get Ginger Snap contacted us to see if we would like to review one of their LED lights from their range available and I choose an ice lolly light as I thought it looked really striking and would be really fun in the kitchen – especially as Freddie is asking for ice lollies out of the freezer all day long at the moment.

I was expecting quite a small LED light but when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was actually 45cm and looked fab. Its powered via USB and plug, not as portable as if it was powered via batteries but this way you don’t get a unsightly power pack ruining the effect of the light so it works really well. We have a black american fridge freezer and I decided to add it to the door using a small amount of double-sided tape, that way of an evening it would really stand out and give the neon effect I wanted. I really didn’t think it would be as vibrant as it was but it works so well, it really jazz’s up the kitchen a treat.

I have also mounted it to the wall near my menue board as it comes with two holes for mounting to wherever you want.  In the day it doesn’t look odd either, it’s just a 3d wall art addition an really bring a bit of summer to our kitchen. It would be great for a summer party or BBQ too, lighting up a drinks table for instance.  I think lighting brings so much atmosphere to any part of the home or garden, its an extra dynamic and I love the difference it brings to the room.
Sadly, I wasn’t the only one who took a shine to the light and one evening Freddie saw the light on and immediately thought it was a night-light. I was dismayed but he did have a good point – it would also double as an excellent night-light – it look fab also against his white wall in his bedroom and although vibrant gives a lovely soft glow as a night-light.
My BFF has twin girls and they have an amazing ice cream and sweet treat bedroom – i think this would look so fabulous in there to really make their fab room stand out.
