There is nothing quite like melting into the sofa once the kids have settled off to sleep and enjoying a crisp, reviving Gin.
The juniper based spirit is basking in nationwide Gin lovin’ and so why not indulge the gin fan in your life and extend their ginpressive collection by grabbing some ginspiration below. (Oh so many puns)
First off we have some beautiful gin baubles from Salopian Gin, perfect to spruce up any tree and also very handy for a festive tot of gin whenever needed! The delicate baubles are filled with locally distilled Shropshire gin and finished off with rustic twine.
As perfect as gin is to drink, here I have some G&T macarons from Georgie of What Georgie Bakes. Georgie is a one-woman-band home bakery in East London, specialising in bespoke buttercream celebration cakes decorated with, among other treats, macarons of varying flavours. Pairing the classic almond cookie with a G&T-flavoured buttercream, tangy lime curd centre and white chocolate and tonic drizzle.
Then we have some funky hand made Gin bath bombs from The Bath Mama. They have such a fresh and zingy fragrance and with scents such and classic G&T, G&t with lime and G&t with cucumber they would be just amazing whilst sipping a gin in the bath! They are made with no nasties and even more fabulous they are calorie free!
Here is the first of two local gins. Tiger gin is a relatively new gin and holds traditional values such as being distilled in a copper pot and bottled in Shropshire after sourcing ingredients from all over the world (including two secret ingredients!) a really floral and warming gin, perfect for intertwining with the scents of Christmas.
Hotel Chocolat have a gorgeous Gin collection, including Cocoa Gin and chocolates! Presented in a sleek black box with handy description/ on each item. Don’t question the cocoa flavour of the gin, it’s a subtle, earthy back note which gives it massive depth of flavour. The gin chocolates are a welcome addition and you can actually Taste the gin hidden inside. Perfect for after dinner. Or early afternoon..
I just adore the rustic look of this Ableforth’s Bath tub gin… but don’t be fooled. Each bottle is hand wrapped, tied and wax sealed to the top and being navy strength this a little firework of a gin, packing a punch at 57% this really is a special little number and would be a welcome addition to any gin collection. It looks almost too good to open and drink. Almost..
Alternative advent calendars have been everywhere this year and I was super lucky to be able to get my hands on this beauteous specimen, a Drinks by the Dram Gin Advent calendar
With 24 different gins nestled in a gorgeous box the advent calendar is definitely a special gift. Don’t feel like it’s only an advent calendar, the 30cl wax sealed gin bottles are so gorgeous that they really can be enjoyed anytime, looking gorgeous on a gin shelf on display!
There are the widely known popular gins as well as some little known treasures just waiting to be tasted and loved.
The advent calendar has been super popular and there are also 25 other varieties of advent calendar here (my husband is already hounding me for a whisky one!)
Last up is another local gin for me, Salopian Gin from the Shropshire Spirit co. Salopian gin number 1 is smooth and slightly sweet, a perfect all rounder for a much needed g&t. Sealed with wax and available in a gift set makes the perfect prepacked gift.
Happy gin hunting everyone! I’m settling down for a “Gin and It” now..what do you pair with your gin?
The above items were sent to me in collaboration for the purpose of this post.
