Bourton on the water
Today we had a bimble over to Bourton on the water, somewhere I have always wanted to go and so we made it our first family day out.
Situated near Cheltenham, it’s not really to far from us in Shropshire so it was quite pleasant to travel.
There are lots of places to park and only a very short walk to the small town itself. As soon as you step out of the car park you see how picturesque it is, it almost looks pretend.
It’s nicknamed “the Venice of the Cotswolds” because of the beautiful, shallow water running through the middle, straddled with low bridges.
You can see it was quite busy as we had such beautiful weather, but this really wasn’t a problem, it’s not a ‘busy’ place to be and still seems quite sleepy.
We will definitely come back again when Dexter is bigger. It’s so beautiful
