• Nuu moblie T2 tablet review

I thought for a long time that Freddie would not be bothered with having a tablet and that we would never be those parents whose children use one in a given situation. Well actually we are. We so are. Initially it started with him using the SmartTV remote to put YouTube on and watch his favourite channels. Then he wanted our phones which we didn’t agree to as I feel that’s when I can become constant – I always have my phone on me and I don’t want him to think it’s always accessible. He has been at nursery for eight months and I can see the shift in his increasing independence and…

  • Being savvy with the UK checkout club

I love online shopping and now I have got two kids I do it a lot more, it saves time, hassle and it’s so convinient having it delivered without a child having a tantrum at the check out while I’m trying to wrangle a large object. Like most people, I used to try and use my card to collect points for whatever supermarket I was shopping at and stock those up but I never got a decent amount back as I either for got or it was just such a low return. I even had a dabble at some cash back sites but unfortunately some of the fees themselves put…

  • Boys amongst the Bluebells

Sometimes the calmness and earthy smells of a woodland are all you need to settle your head and start a fresh. Our local woods have just had the bluebells start to show and show I took the boys to have a look. Its so peaceful up there and apart from the hubbub if the boys all you can hear is bird song and feel the light breeze. Times like this remind me of being little and taking long walks with my dad and our dog Benny. Freddie gets right stuck in there like I used to, he soon found some millipedes and was upturning logs to see what lived beneath.…

  • Bullyland Chubby Unicorns review

There is no escaping that Unicorns are everyone’s fave mythical creature at the moment – including mine! I love anything related to Pegasus or Unicorns and so when I was given the chance to review some Bullyland Chubby Unicorns I knew I had to have them! I was sent four Unicorns including Chubby Fairy Princess unicorn who is SO sassy and the cute and I just love having her in my bedroom next to my makeup to make me feel like a queen. Surprisingly Freddie also thinks they are super cute and he is very much a boys boy, he wants to take them to nursery to show one of his friends as she…

  • The return of TechDeck review

Even though I am now 31, one of my most outstanding memories if of secondary school and everyone having a TechDeck mini skateboard! I was pretty useless with mine but one of the boys in my class was permanently attached to his and he was always doing mini stunts on the wooden school desks. As things generally do, Techdecks have now gone full circle and to celebrate their 20th anniversary (blimey) and have been rereleased! I have been sent some for Freddie to have a play with and its so, nostalgic to see! They look so much better than I remember, being featured with designs from prolific skate brands to really…

  • Getting the family car right

I have always, always driven small cars. Even as a community nurse I can stuff fit all my nursing equipment and do my rounds. I work in a very rural area and it’s easy to nip here and there in my little pap pap. I think I have been quite blasé though, thinking that I would always be ok with this. Now our family is bigger, I definitely feel the need to get the family car right. This isn’t just for the extra space but more so the feel of being safer and more protected. I have been using my husband’s car a lot more and where I used to…

  • Sambro Crocodile Diner review

At long last Freddie is now at the perfect age to be able to play a board game and be engaged as well as trying the best he can to keep playing by the rules (most of the time) and take turns. We have been sent Crocodile Diner from Sambro and its an active but easy game for the family to get involved and for the younger ones to enjoy. The game comes with three crocodile snout masks and some little foam fishes. We have actually doubled up the use of this game and Freddie likes to wear one of the masks in the bath and hunt out the fish.…

  • Saving money on a new matress to finish our room

We have recently transformed our bedroom with a mini makeover. What we did was really very minimal, jsut realy a lick  of paint, accessories and soft funishings but it has had a massive impact on making our room a haven that we actually love being in with decor that we love. The finishing touches for us to sort out are a new mattress and at some point give our wardrobes a bit of a makeover as even though I love them they are little dated. Wardrobes aren’t so essential other than to hold clothes, they dont really have any impact on us. The mattress is a different story. I have always had what you…

  • Naipo back and neck massager review

Since having the boys and having difficult pregnancies with SPD and slipping a disc in my lower back – not to mention my very physical job as a rural community nurse, my back, neck and shoulder muscles are a constant source of aches and pains. Sometimes I can manage this with painkillers, of baryibf degrees of stength depending on the severity of the pain that day, other times I use a heat rub. If it’s bad at night I use a heat pad too. However I have found that physical touch on the painful areas is best, especially if it flares up when I’m sitting on the sofa or when…

  • Get Nourished Coffee review

Even before I had children, my morning routine always contained one staple – coffee. Now I have the two boys my mornings are a little more rushed and contain a lot more coffee. It’s a little grasp at a chunk of me time where I can replenish some enegery and take a little breather before the craziness of the day starts – even if it means that most days my coffee is cold! Get Nourished contacted me to see if they could help. Get Nourished When Get Nourished contacted me I was excitied to try their new product – high protein (as much as in a steak!) iced coffees! Lets face…
