• A different Christmas

I hope you have all have some wonderful festivities and the best Christmas time! My boys have been wild and had such a fabulous few days, although my house is now inundated with Lego. Teeny, weeny bits of Lego to slice my feet open. Thanks Santa!! Freddie also developed chicken pox on Christmas Eve so spot surveillance was under way too. I wanted to make sure they had the best Christmas possible, I really ploughed myself into them having the perfect Christmas, as I knew I would find this year so difficucult without Dad, as so would they. It was a real shock to see the Christmas gift tags and…

  • Christmas Gifts for children aged 4-5

Here is some inspiration of gifts for boys (or girls) aged around 4-5. I was really stuck buying for Freddie this year, he already had a backlog of four years worth of presents so the inspiration was definitely lacking. We have had a good clear out in time for Father Christmas’s arrival. Hopefully these gift ideas may give you a bit of a brainwave if ideas to include for the big day. I know Freddie is going to love them! Aluminium Drinks Bottle I know this is a super practical gift but Freddie has a thing with water bottles (he loves them, but also manages to break them frequently) like…

There is nothing that screams Christmas like a jam packed hamper full of tasty treats and sublime snacks. Whether home made or not they always go down well and it’s a lovely way to really spoil someone whilst providing a functional gift.  I love to find new items to add to any hampers I assemble, just to freshen it up each year and maybe even find a new favourite item for the year ahead. Here are a few items I’ll be adding to my hampers this year. Edinburgh Preserves The Cheese Wedge You simply can’t have a hamper without the inclusion of chutney. This wonderful set from buys gift looks…

  • Festive tipple gift guide

We all indulge over the festive season and for me Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a bit of fizz and warming tipples to really make it a Merry Christmas.  Not only that but I also give alcohol to those people I find hard to buy for – it always goes down well so why not! Here is a selection of some jolly drinks to keep the mood merry. TGI Fridays ready mix cocktails  I don’t know about you but when ever I buy premade cocktails they are always a let down, having a sort of chemical taste? so I tend to mix my own, which can be a faff. These…

  • When christmas becomes real

This year Christmas was so much more special for us as Freddie actually got excited and was completely blown away on Christmas Day.   My fave part of the day was simply when the came downstairs, gasped and said “WOW” he could not believe it!! He did get a bit overwhelmed in the day so his nap beckoned but to be hoenst it’s a massive day for any one especially rallying round numerous family members and eating everyone out of house and home   We had a big sort out just before Christmas to clear some room for more toys, thankfully we did as he was inundated! I was mostly thankful for…
