• Dr Browns deluxe electric steam steriliser review

There is always something new in the world of parenting however many children you have. Getting to grips with prescription milk and everything that comes with it was a big learning curve for us with Dexter, the main issue being was that the milk, thickener and medication leaves a horrible film on his bottles that is very difficult to remove and builds up really fast. If you have a child on Neocate milk you also will know that it STINKS even to the fact that we have to frequently bleach our drains and add boiling water as the residue builds up and it smells disgusting. We have been using the Dr…

  • Dexters bedroom – monochrome, yellow & mint

The idea for Dexter’s room started long before he was born. I knew that whatever gender baby I had I wanted a colour pallet of mint green, yellow and grey with some monochrome. When we did Freddie’s nursery it was very generic, beige and baby ready but always meant we would have to update when he got older. As it turned out we moved house and so came up with his London themed room anyway, but I didn’t want this with my second babies room. I wanted something with a little more longevity and also a little different.   I’m so pleased with how Dexter’s room has turned out and…

  • A day with Bambo and friends at Kelmarsh hall and Gardens

You may have seen that a few weeks ago we got to try some Bambo Nature nappies for Dexter and we really enjoyed using them supporting their eco-background. They have suited Dex really well and they have proven hit in our family. We were excited to find out that Bambo have released some skin care products such as oils, lotions and creams and we were asked to the launch of these vegan friendly and cruelty free products along with some other lovely bloggers. We headed over to Kelmarsh Hall & Gardens and as soon as we arrived at the beautiful gardens we were able to get involved in some eco-crafts. We made some gorgeous…

  • Bambo Nature Eco friendly Nappies review

With both boys I have pretty much stuck with what works works and not ventured much futher. Especially with nappies I have stuck to this mantra as there is nothing worse than a soggy baby and soggy baby clothes. I know that this sounds awful but I have always, always been told that eco friendly nappies they don’t work as well and that they are false economy. I was approached by Bambo Nature to give their eco nappies a trial and give an honest report back on how I found using them, warts and all. About Bambo Eco Nappies Bambo Eco nappies have been made with the environment and your baby…

  • Diono Quantum travel system Review

For the past few weeks we have been putting the Diono Quantum to the test and through its paces with Dexter. I have never thought of myself as pushchair orientated, as long as it pushes, is comfortable and is reasonable in cost then that’s all it needs to be, right? Wrong. Having spent a few weeks in hospital a few things changed in our family dynamic that made having an easy to use, adaptable, robust and comfortable pushchair a matter of importance. My husband sorted the boys while I was poorly, he is 6″3 and so straight away the height adjustable handle came into its own. I am on the…

I can’t say Freddie has an element of tidy to him. He is just so clumsy, guaranteed to make a mess. Even when I preempt it, he beats me to it!! Luckily we are working with Messy me designs and they gave us one of their fab aprons and an original messy mat for a full scale test while we were on holiday. • Back to basics with Kokoso coconut oil review

Dexter was born two weeks early and still had lots of Vernix on him. I was pleased about this as it’s a natural moisturiser and barrier to the outside world for a little longer at least, on newborn skin. I noticed however that the areas where he didn’t have his protective layer were so dry, cracked and flaky, something which wasn’t an issue with Freddie.  I limited his baths, in fact he didn’t have his first bath until he was almost a week old due to his skin being so dry, once he was out of the bath it got even worse and the baby moisturisers I had only offered…
